Virtual Parent Program

You are reaching out, looking for help and resources, because you are concerned about your child. Maybe your child is acting out with tantrums; screaming, yelling, falling to the floor, refusing to accept “No” or behaving aggressively toward others. Maybe your child seems sad or anxious, spending way too much time sleeping or playing online games. You may have concerns about an experience your child has had or some other circumstance in your child’s life.

These behaviors are concerning, but they don't tell the whole story. The behaviors that worry you are like the check-engine light on your car that tells you that you need someone to lift up the hood and check the engine. For instance, when children can't handle when things don't go their way, this is not entitled behavior; it is evidence that they feel so fragile on the inside that they have to try to control and manage everything on the outside so they can feel okay.

Of course we want these behaviors to go away, but the best way to achieve lasting positive results is to address the underlying conditions within the child that led to the behaviors in the first place. Just like the check-engine light turns off after the problems with the engine are actually fixed, when we address what is going on inside the child, the troubling behaviors are resolved as a natural outcome.

Parents come seeking help with things like:

• Trauma

• Tantrums

• Low Self-Esteem

• Defiance

• Navigating Life Changes

• Anxiety

• Reconnecting as a Family

• Building Confidence in Your Child

• Building Your Confidence as a Parent

Whatever the exact situation is with your young child, Play Strong Parenting can address the concerns that have you worried.

Dr. Jen offers a variety of programs and services. Her most popular course right now is her original program which expands upon the principles she shared in her book The Child Behind the Behavior: For Parents of Defiant, Anxious, and Emotionally Intense Children. This program is built on a simple but powerful premise: when children are built up from the inside out, the concerning behaviors naturally begin to fade. As children grow more resilient, more securely attached, and feel more capable, tantrums, defiance, anxiety, and other concerning behaviors are replaced by enhanced confidence and connection.

Dr. Jen also offers the powerful and effective program called the Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) program.

For those parents who are still trying to figure out what kind of support might be helpful to them, or for those parents who simply want to get some clinical insight on their concerns, Dr. Jen offers individual consultations over Zoom.

These are just a few of the options available. There are some amazing and completely free resources as well!

All Play Strong Parenting programs and services are designed so that you can access them from the comfort of your home at a time that is convenient to you.
